Anne Woodman handcrafts whimsical wire jewelry on Mount Desert Island. Each piece is bent by hand from 14k gold-filled wire, no two exactly alike.
Anne Woodman Jewelry Design is the studio of NYC-born, Maine-based artist Anne Woodman, known for what she calls "happy jewelry" — joyful, whimsical wire designs handmade from 14k gold-filled wire. Signature pieces include the gold wire flower, the bumblebee necklace, and a series of stacking bracelets. Woodman bends every piece by hand, so no two are identical. The studio runs a waste-free practice — scraps are melted down and recycled, and she increasingly incorporates repurposed vintage pieces into new work. Inspiration comes from nature, art across eras, and a sense of play. The brand began on a folding table in SoHo and grew through Henri Bendel and Bloomingdales before settling on Mount Desert Island.
