Dahl & Company has handcrafted wooden housewares in Searsmont since 1980 — white pine drying racks, bentwood containers, bespoke furniture, all from Maine wood.
Dahl & Company is a Midcoast woodworking studio in Searsmont, Maine, founded by Jim Lynch in 1980 with his mother Jessie Warrington and named after his grandmother — the family matriarch Eva Dahl, whose signature appears on the logo. Over four-plus decades Jim has built a reputation for handmade housewares: white pine drying racks built with 100% Maine wood and non-corrosive stainless and brass fastenings (food-safe, equally at home drying laundry or kitchen herbs), bentwood containers, traditional boxes, and bespoke furniture. The studio's signature approach pairs traditional New England forms with a modern aesthetic, all built from locally sourced materials. Dahl pieces are stocked at Kennebec Cabin Company, Greenstore in Belfast, Community Market in Unity, and Shop Maine Craft.
