Firefly Sky Design is the watercolor-illustration studio of Leane Morin and her daughter Kate at 9 Townsend Road in Augusta, Maine — a mother-daughter team that launched as Painted Turtle Illustration in August 2016 with a line of kids' t-shirts before rebranding. Leane paints from quotations, animals, and nature, and the work shows up across greeting cards (Birthday, Blank, Congratulations, Encouragement, Holidays, Sympathy, Friendship, Love, Valentine's — most $3.95 each or 4-packs at $14), die-cut weatherproof vinyl stickers, magnets like Wild About Maine ($4), magnetic notepads, watercolor art easel prints, and small playing-card decks. Everything is designed and painted in Maine and printed in Maine and New Hampshire on recycled card stock, packed with white recycled envelopes and eco-friendly plant-based compostable cello sleeves.
