Grain Surfboards

Grain Surfboards is an independent outdoor gear maker based on the Southern Maine Coast. The York-based shop builds wooden surfboards from sustainably-sourced Northern white cedar and runs hands-on board-building courses where students assemble their own surfboards over four to six days. Founded in 2005, Grain has shipped boards globally and championed wooden boards as a more sustainable alternative to foam-and-fiberglass construction.
