Lucid Skis

Lucid Skis is an independent outdoor gear maker based in the Lakes & Mountains region of Maine. Co-owners E.J. Martin, Travis Legassie, and Corey Kelkenberg took over the company from founder Ian Reinholt in 2015, handcrafting custom wooden downhill skis and snowboards from a workshop in Gray. Each pair uses sustainably-harvested Maine hardwoods — hickory, black locust, or maple sides; basswood cores; white ash binding anchors — chosen for the wood's flex memory. The shop offers custom orders (4–6 week wait) and ski-making workshops.
