Brunswick brewpub on Maine Street pouring Maine-grain ales with names drawn from local Brunswick history — beer garden open year-round.
Brunswick natives Mattie Daughtry and Philip Welsh opened Moderation in March 2018 in an 1875-era former American Express office on Maine Street. The brewery names beers after Brunswick history — the 1856 lager nods to Maine's brief pre-prohibition repeal; Box Shop Girls breakfast stout honors WWII-era Dennison Manufacturing women workers. Almost all grain is Maine-grown, with seasonal local fruit additions.
