Mountain Mom Studio in Carrabassett Valley makes handmade naturally-dyed Maine maple rainbow blocks, bowls, and sensory toys, named after a family photo atop Sugarloaf.
Mountain Mom Studio is a Carrabassett Valley, Maine handmade-toy shop run by a mom-of-two whose shop name came from a family photo atop Sugarloaf Mountain. Founded in 2019, the brand grew out of small handmade gifts for friends having babies — sensory blocks, flannel burp cloths, felt food — that took off so well she opened the shop. Signature pieces include Naturally Dyed Rustic Rainbow Wooden Blocks made from Maine maple in sets of 24 or 48, Naturally-Dyed Rainbow Wooden Bowls for stacking and sorting in sets of 6, sensory blocks, flannel burp cloths, and felt food. Eco-friendly natural dyes throughout. The mission is unlocking the power of a child's imagination while fostering development and protecting the planet.
