Ocotillo

Ocotillo opened in April 2024 at 211 Danforth Street in Portland's West End from Melanie and Pliny Reynolds, the team behind Terlingua. The 106-seat space, in the former Danforth, draws on the breakfast tacos the Reynoldses formerly served at Terlingua's first location, paired with overnight-smoked brisket and pulled pork, churros, buttermilk-masa pancakes, huevos rancheros, and an agave-focused beverage program. Yankee magazine named Ocotillo Best New Brunch in its 2025 Food Awards, calling out the smoked brisket breakfast taco and house churros. The New York Times praised the mushroom taco's salsa macha as one of America's 26 Best Dishes in 2024.
