Original Maine got its start as a project to revive the 1901 Maine flag, and that historical-archive sensibility still runs through everything the brand designs and produces locally from its Portland Factory Store. Apparel, hats, and curated goods carry the older, distinctive Maine iconography that disappeared from official use over a century ago. A Greater Portland label rebuilding a piece of state visual heritage with serious design care.
