Rock City Coffee is an independent food business based in Midcoast Maine. Susanne Ward and Patrick Reilley opened a tiny used bookstore-coffeehouse called Second Read on Rockland's Main Street in 1992, then began roasting their own beans in 1999 — making Rock City one of Maine's first specialty roasters. The employee-owned business runs a Rockland café and a new production roastery in Rockport, with free local delivery and small-batch organic coffees shipped nationwide.
