High on a windswept ridge in Wilton at 83 McLaughlin Rd, Thistle Moon Farmstead is stewarded by Stephanie Henley and Mat Bickford. Purchased in 2020 from the historic Wilton Blueberry Farm, the property holds 3,000-plus highbush blueberry bushes planted between 1947 and 1949, with nine varieties available for u-pick from mid-July through late August. Stephanie, an Esthetician, Reiki Master, and Clinical Aromatherapist diagnosed with Crohn's disease in her early twenties, channels her healing approach into a seed-to-skin botanical line: handcrafted soaps, Farm Dust seasoning, elderberry syrup kits, Rosewater Toner, herbal teas like Ginger Snap and Lemon Zen, beard care, and face creams. Herbs grown on site include milky oats, lemon balm, tulsi, and nettles, all cultivated using regenerative, biodynamic, and organic methods.
