Old Port gastropub in the Pierce Atwood building since 2014 — locally sourced food and a 96-rated craft beer program. Serving lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch, and late night.
The King's Head opened in June 2014 in the Pierce Atwood building at 254 Commercial Street, on a wharf built from the burned debris of the Old Port after King George III shelled what was then Falmouth, Massachusetts — hence the name. The gastropub has built its reputation on a 96-rated craft beer program from Beer Advocate, locally sourced elevated pub food, and a warm British-pub-style room of exposed wood and brick that invites lingering over a game or a slow dinner. Open daily for lunch, dinner, and late night, with Sunday brunch. The Freeport sister location followed in August 2025.
