Texas-style BBQ and Mexican-influenced dishes on Munjoy Hill — named to Condé Nast's 15 Best Restaurants in Portland 2025.

Terlingua opened on Washington Avenue on June 25, 2015 and moved to its current Munjoy Hill location in late 2020. Chef Wilson Rothschild and his team turn out house-smoked meats and Southwest-Mex-Caribbean dishes seven days a week, paired with an agave-focused beverage program spotlighting mezcal, tequila, and sotol. Owners Melanie and Pliny Reynolds, who lived in Austin before settling in Maine, draw on Pliny's pitmaster training to anchor the menu, with fish tacos, ceviche, smoked brisket, year-round outdoor dining, and one of Portland's deepest agave-spirit selections. Condé Nast named Terlingua to its 15 Best Restaurants in Portland 2025; Eater included it in its 12 Essential Maine BBQ list.
