
French-inspired wine bar and restaurant on Wharf Street from Alex Wight (Crown Jewel), opened April 2026 with chefs from Chicago and a beverage director from wd-50.
Elizabeth opened April 3, 2026 at 47 Wharf Street in Portland's Old Port, in the former Jefe Juan's space. Owner Alex Wight (Crown Jewel on Great Diamond Island, formerly Flanagan's Table in Buxton) named the French-inspired wine bar and restaurant for her daughter, sister, and late bon-vivant aunt. Chef Duncan Biddulph (Lula Cafe, The Publican, Tortello, Rootstock in Chicago) and pastry chef Ashley Robinson (Cape Elizabeth native, head baker at Fat Rice in Chicago) lead the kitchen with dishes like Oeuf Mayo with smoked salmon caviar, Jambon de Bayonne, Halibut en Papillote, Soufflé with salted honey ice cream, and a Canelé. Beverage director Kevin Denton Rex (opening bev director at wd-50 in NYC) handles cocktails, French wine, and a non-alcoholic list. 18-seat bar, banquette seating for 22, glossy red ceiling. Tue–Thu 4–10pm, Fri–Sat 4–11pm.
